YAY! Ted Talks are all done!!! Was an amazingg experience, time to keep trucking along with my final product! Almost completely done with my fashion book! Having trouble posting pictures of it at the moment though. :(

Fashion Scrapbook

My Fashion Scrapbook is how I'm showcasing my final product. It will be featuring all the different clothing lines, inspired by different movie/book series. Each clothing line will include makeup, outfits and hairstyles; all things that go into designing a runway look for a model. This book will also include pictures from my mock fashion show; based on the theme of Cinderella.

Sunday Fun-day

Soooo, today was supposed to be my mock fashion show, but four of models could not make it. As a result it will be taking place next weekend. Today instead, with the models that could attend we did before and after shots with their themed make-up and outfits; based on my different lines. So far, we did looks inspired by Up, The Great Gatsby, and TFIOS.

Mocking

I will be hosting a "mock" fashion show at my house, that will be recored and posted on my blog. This show will featuring my Cinderella line. I'm super excited !! I have six models so far, that have been hired to walk in the show (after carful consideration of course)

Prepare the Men, I mean Models

I am making a survey that my "models" can take, to seek out other book ideas and get more input.

I have decided that instead of just making my show Hunger Game themed, it will be inspired by multiple book series. I think I will be able to get more creative with this wider range of possibilities, and I am excited to make some big strides towards developing my product.

Pilgrimage of Fashion

SO, since my leave of absence, (my apologies) , I have taken a voyage across the pond. While away in Italy, I have seen amazing inspiration for this project. From the people and their culture to the amazinggggg shopping, my eyes have seen a new light of Fashion.

Fashion Week (or marking period)

Through this project I hoped to gain a better understanding and a higher respect for all the work that goes into a fashion show- behind the scenes. Due to this, I have made an executive decision in not actually hosting a fashion show with an audience and such, but having all the components that would be produced behind the scenes of a show, as my final product. My products will include sketches of all the models in their outfits, a mini model of what my dream stage would be, and a mimic of a Vogue magazine for each model, featuring them on the cover.

Hungry for Fashion

I'v sparked an idea... and as Suzanne Collins claims "A spark is enough to set them ablaze"...

My theme for the fashion show will be Hunger Games inspired, with different clothing lines including; Capitol Couture and Dashing Districts.

It is said making lists can quell anxiety and breed creativity..... *fingers crossed*

Fashion Show check list:

- models

- make runway 

- runway play list

- find a suitable venue 

- decide what clothing will be featured 

-decide if it will be a charity event 

- how I will raise money through the fashion show? 

-what charity ?

- what audience ?

- when will the show take place? time?

- refreshments? 

- will there be VIPs?

- decor for runway

- advertising 

This list will most likely grow and shrink as much as Alice did in Wonderland but it is a start. :)

Sierra's Next Top Model

So, my first task was to find some very experienced, professional, and very classy models (hence my friends). Choosing these models turned out to be a much easier task than I anticipated. I already have 10 definite, and I am on the hunt for some more.  I'm embracing my inner Tyra Banks.
